Music of 2008
Writing a piece on my 5 favorite albums of 2008. What are yours?I honestly cannot name a single album that came out this year other than Chinese Democracy, which I haven’t heard yet. I think it’s because I spent 2008 listening to Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac, interspliced with a few new songs I downloaded after hearing them on Gossip Girl. I saw one concert, which was Bruce Springsteen. I am neither cool nor current.
oh thank goodness i’m not the only one who gets music from gossip girl. at any rate, here are mine:
1) viva la vida - coldplay
2) saturday nights and sunday mornings - counting crows
3) carolina liar - coming to terms
4) words and music - aqualung (not new stuff, but still amazing)
5) the black crowes - warpaint
at least, these are the ones i’ve heard and like. definitely not a critic’s list by any means.
