the level of airbrushing, etc. has gotten to the point of ridiculous. it was bad for us growing up - and is still bad for us now - but i am scared to death for my future daughters. and sons, for that matter, because this spills over to them. it’s so hard to impress upon people that they are beautiful, and special, and invaluable when the media does nothing but scream “BUT ONLY IF YOU’RE A SIZE ___ AND YOU LOOK JUST LIKE THESE PEOPLE.” it is an absolute travesty what society has done to people and will continue to do in the future. i refuse to let media infect my thoughts anymore.
